#AGE OF WONDERS III OR ENDLESS LEGEND PATCH#
from brightly colored rainbows over a patch of four leaf clover to the murk and gloom of a blighted wasteland, you ARE in a fantasy world.ĮL, in its own way, might even be slightly MORE beautiful with an art style that is truly unique and hard to really describe other than more technical, angular, and precise in my opinion. Graphically speaking, AoW is pure fantasy, and a real gem at that. that being said, EL's music is haunting and amazing in its own right. I am partial to Michiel Van Den Bos's music, but I have been playing AoW since the original.
#AGE OF WONDERS III OR ENDLESS LEGEND FULL#
I do know that AoW3 AI will cast more spells and full on assault you with multiple stacks at a time even at lower levels, but in the end, once you get the mechanics down, neither game is going to beat your brain.īoth games are beautiful, and have great music. crank em up and they cheat (get +++ to rates, etc).

You're waging a military campaign instead. There isn't that feel of slowly building an empire and governing a people. Each seems to have a "trick" you master and then you basically know what's what and can move on.ĪoW3 offers endless (hah) variation in comparison, but it is very heavily combat focussed. EL was great the first time or two I played it, but I never wanted to play any faction more than one. Personally, I much prefer AoW3 to Endless Legend. (And the writing, and the world-building.) (And the music, and the beautiful world map)Įndless Legend for the empire building, the vast difference in mechanics between the factions, and the more original mechanics. It's funny how often this question comes up.ĪoW3 for the combat, the customisation, and the really deep tactics.
